Feynoord react to van Hooijdonk talk

Van Hooijdonk has been linked with a transfer to Blues when the transfer window opens in January although Feynoord claim they have a new offer on the table for their top scorer.

"I've had the chief executive of Feyenoord on to me ranting and raving asking why am I unsettling their player," Bruce told the B'ham Mail.

"It's not me, it's agents who are digging up this sort of nonsense.

"Let's be honest, Feyenoord are top of the league, he's their top scorer, they want too much money and he's on big wages. Do you really think he's going to come here? It's not going to happen.

"Yes, we are looking all over so that we can bring in two or three players when the transfer window opens, if we possibly can.

"But we are not going to be spending millions of pounds and, from what I'm hearing from other managers, I can't see any Premiership clubs splashing out millions on players.

"All we are trying to do is look at the loan system and see just what we can get."
