The Finland international is on loan from Chelsea for an initial four months and despite continued reports linking him with a move to a German Bundesliga side he has hinted that when that deal expires he would like to remain with the Blues until the end of the season, if the two clubs can agree to it. "I've had a good warm welcome and been made to feel at home. If I'm happy here, I'd love to stay for the rest of the season. I think that is what Birmingham would like."
"I've only signed until Christmas. It was originally supposed to be for the whole season but Chelsea wanted a clause whereby if they needed me they could call me back," said Forssell.
"It's a bit early to talk about things but I want to do well at Birmingham and if everything goes well, I want to stay.
