The Blues on-loan striker completed the full ninety minutes of the game in which the Finns opened the scoring with a Jari Litmanen penalty after just nine minutes.

Lars Lagerback's side fought back however and equalised on the half-hour mark through Belenenses midfielder Anders Andersson.

Marcus Allback sent the Swedes in at the break 2-1 up with a goal right on the stroke of half time and Villa's out-of-favour striker put the result beyond doubt with his second and Swedens third with eight minutes of the game remaining.
