The 29-year-old keeper will sign a two-year deal at St. Andrew's subject to a medical after a fee between Blues and Bordeaux was agreed.

Speaking to the Birmingham Evening Mail from the clubs base in Kuala Lumpa, Blues boss Steve Bruce said: “He’s due in to see Karren and, subject to a medical, he should be our player. We hope to have everything concluded by the end of the week.

The keeper signing comes on the back of news that Blues are also set to complete the signing of Argentinian striker Luciano Figueroa.

“Hats off to Karren and David Sullivan. While we’ve swanned off over here, they’ve pulled out all the stops to get these two. And, in the kid’s case, it’s quite a coup,” the Blues boss added.
