Friendly arranged for defensive trio

Last updated : 05 December 2002 By Brian Cartlidge

Blues boss Steve Bruce had pencilled in the returning trio for a run-out in the reserves fixture against Sunderland on Wednesday evening, but this game was postponed due to the Wearsiders involvement in the FA Youth trophy.

The trio have all recently returned to full training after operations but need competitive match action and the Dr Martens League club, who host Blues reserve team home fxtures, offered a friendly game on Wednesday at Damson Park.

Geoff Horsfield may also get a run out in the game as he sits out the final match of his three-match ban at Southampton on Saturday.

Wednesday's game will be played behind closed doors and there will be
strictly no admittance for spectators.
