Good News On Izzet

The Blues midfielder was withdrawn just 36 minutes into the 2-2 home draw with Newcastle Utd on Sunday and first thoughts were that the Turkey international had damaged ligaments.

However, scans on Monday have showed the injury to be not that serious and Izzet could well be fit in time for the visit of Manchester United to St Andrew's on Saturday week.
