Grainger ahead of schedule

Grainger had surgery on the knee injury in September and Blues manager Steve Bruce originally predicted that he would be out of action until at least Christmas.

However, Grainger is making good progress and is now expected to be back in full training in around three weeks' time.

Bruce said: "There is a little bit of light on the horizon.

"Grainger is ahead of schedule and we are hoping that he can now be back at the beginning of December."
