The Blues centre-forward was substituted at half time during the 2-1 Carling Cup tie win against Norwich City on Wednesday night and manager Steve Bruce has confirmed that he has a groin injury.
"Emile Heskey had to go off with a groin injury and he could be doubtful for Saturday," Bruce said after the game against Norwich.
