Holdsworth contract paid up

Holdsworth has never figured in a first team squad at Blues since Steve Bruce took charge earlier in the year and spent the last four months of last season on-loan at Walsall.

The Saddlers didn't offer the centre-back a permanent contract and he was sent back to St. Andrew's at the end of the season.

Holdsworth joined Blues in March 1999 from Sheffield United and made just over 100 appearances for the club scoring eight goals.
