"I don't know of any interest in Geoff and I would be surprised if it was Wigan because I had breakfast with their manager Paul Jewell this morning and he didn't say anything to me!" Bruce told the B'ham Evening Mail.
"But I can't comment on rumours. All I know is that my view on Geoff hasn't changed since the end of the season.
"Everything he has got to give as a player, he gives for the cause. Whether that's in training or in a game.
"I want to see Geoff Horsfield smiling, fitter than ever and raring to go when we return to pre-season."
