Howard Webb In The Middle For Pompey Clash

The South Yorkshire official took charge of just 8 Premier League games last season - none involving Blues.

His one game in charge of a Pompey league fixture was in their 0-0 home draw with Wolves on January 31st when just Wanderers defender Lee Naylor was shown a yellow card.

In his eight games officiating Premiership matches last season Mr Webb dished out 16 yellow cards and 1 red.

B. Baker and M. Tingey will be Mr Webbs line assistants with the fourth official named as Barry Knight.
