Northern Ireland: Maik Taylor & Damien Johnson


Maik Taylor and Damien Johnson were both selected in Lawrie Sanchez's starting XI for Northern Ireland's World Cup Group Six qualifier against England.

Leeds United striker David Healy scored the only goal of the game at Windsor Park as Northern Ireland recorded their first victory against England in 33 years.

Johnson, who picked up a first half booking, and Taylor completed the full ninety minutes of the game.

Matthew Upson was again an unused substitute for England.

Finland: Mikael Forssell

Blues striker Mikael Forssell was named in the starting line-up for Finland's Group One World Cup qualifying game against Macedonia.

Forssell scored a hat-trick in a 5-1 win for the Finns and completed the full ninety minutes of the game in Helsinki.

Republic Of Ireland: Kenny Cunningham

Defender Kenny Cunningham again skippered the Republic of Ireland side in their World Cup qualifier against France in Dublin.

The Group Four match at Landsdowne Road finished 1-0 to the French with Arsenal striker Thierry Henry scoring the only goal of the game in the 67th minute.

Cunningham completed the full ninety minutes for Brian Kerr's side.
