Clinton Morrison returned to the Republic of Ireland squad for their second game of a triangular series at The Valley although Kenny Cunningham was rested for the game which Brian Kerr's side won 1-0 against Jamaica.

Stan Lazaridis was also rested as Australia sailed to another comprehensive victory by beating Fiji 6-1 in the third game of their Oceania Nations Cup/World Cup qualifying tournament in Adelaide.


Out In the Caribbean, Blues pair Damien Johnson and Maik Taylor both played in Northern Ireland's 2-0 win against St Kitts & Nevis. Taylor played the full ninety minutes whilst DJ was used as a second half substitute, replacing Jeff Whitley on 63 minutes with the score still 0-0.
