The 28-year-old, who is currently with Serie A side AS Roma, is reported to be coming to St. Andrew's this week to begin a ten day trial with the Blues.
"The English club are interested in me and I’m going there to get a feel for the club just in case I move there in January," the Italian told channel4.com.
"If I decide to go it is with the intention of having a regular place, I have taken ten days to get to know the club," said Sartor.
Reports earlier this week suggested Blues were giving trials to two Finnish brothers, Alexi and Roman Eremenko, both midfielders.
The club as yet have neither confirmed or denied these reports.
