Its Blues v Villa time again

Last updated : 10 October 2002 By Brian Cartlidge
Although a reserve fixture this game is one of four, chosen so far, to be played at St. Andrew's rather than at Blues regular reserve games 'home ground' at Solihull Borough's Damson Park.

Midfielder Bryan Hughes returns to competitive match action after an Achilles tendon injury while Mat Sadler, who made his first team debut in the Worthington Cup tie at Orient, makes his reserve team debut at left-back.

Other notable inclusions are club captain Steve Vickers, and Jovan Kirovski, hat-trick hero in the reserves last fixture, both looking for match fitness after injury lay-offs.

Kick-off at St. Andrew's is 7pm.

Line-ups:
Blues: Bennett, Beauchamp, Sadler, Woodhouse, Vickers, Parker, Hughes, Powell, Fagan, Kirvoski, Carter. Subs: Davies, Hipkiss, Evans, Allen, Barrowman.

Villa: Postma, Henderson, Bewers, Wright, Edwards, Hylton, Cooke, Stone, Hitzlsperger, Jackman, Angel, S.Moore. Subs: Fahey, McGrath, Davis, Cahill.
