John Opts For Sky Blues Move

The 27-year-old Trinidad and Tobago international striker has moved to the Sky Blues on a three year deal for a fee that could net Blues up to £250,000.

John joined Blues from Forest in February 2002 and his eight goals in 15 games towards the end of that season went a long way to helping Blues back into the top flight for the first time in sixteen years.

However, depite signing a new one year deal at St Andrews in the summer, the arrival of Emile Heskey and Dwight Yorke would have surely limited John's chances of claiming an automatic place in Steve Bruce's squad.

John is expected to make his Sky Blues debut against Gillingham at Highfield Road on Wednesday night.

One of my best moments as a Blues fan was when Stern scored the all important winner against Millwall in the play-off semi final 2nd leg at The New Den. Then of course there was his last minute equaliser at Vile Park last season.

We at Singing The Blues wish Stern the best of luck in his future at Highfield Road.
