Johnson limps out of Northern Ireland game

The news of Johnson's injury is a major blow to Blues boss Steve Bruce who was hoping all the players away on international duty would return unscathed and ready to take on West Brom on Saturday.

The fact that it is Johnson makes the news even harder to take as he had been filling in admirably in the 'problem' left-back position vacated by Martin Grainger's long term injury lay-off.

Early reports are suggesting that Johnson, who limped out of the Euro 2004 qualifier at Windsor Park after 84 minutes, has a hamstring strain.

If this proves to be true that would make him a major doubt for the trip to The Hawthorns on Saturday.
