Kapo finally sealed his move to The JJB Stadium on Wednesday by signing a three-year deal with the Latics who are, of course, managed by former Blues boss Steve Bruce who brought the player to England last summer.
"It's fantastic to be signing for a club like Wigan," Kapo told the official Latics website.
"As soon as I spoke with Steve and he told me his plans for the next few years, I wanted to come.
"Steve is a fantastic manager and this club is going places. I really want to be playing for them now."
