Keeper deal will be last Blues signing

The present transfer window closes on August 31st and manager Steve Bruce feels that with a new goalie on board Blues have enough strength in depth for the early part of the new premiership season at least.

"Unless four or five fall to bits or anything like that, there won't be more coming in," the Blues boss told the Birmingham Evening Mail.

"I'm very happy with the squad I've got. It has balance to it and depth to it.

"It's my job to try and improve us and I believe we have the nucleus of a very good side, as good a squad as you could hope for.

"Of course, you can't stand still and you do have to keep looking to see if there are players out there who would make us better.

"Leicester City have just signed their 11th player, which is just incredible. We thought we were doing a lot by signing four or five last summer. It just shows you what Micky Adams thinks.

"For the time being, we've done all we can and I've got to be happy with what's at my disposal."
