Two goals from Bartholomew Ogbeche (35 & 69 mins) and one from Inter Milan striker Obafemi Martins (50 mins) earned the Eagles a deserved victory as they inflicted on Brian Kerrs side their heaviest defeat since November 1995.

Blues striker Clinton Morrison played no part in the game.
