Kirchbeg 0 Blues 7

Blues' opening match of their three-game pre-season tour of Austria began with a thumping win over non-league side Kirchbeg in Westerndorf on Tuesday night.

A Gary McSheffrey brace and a Liam Ridgewell goal gave Blues a 3-0 lead at the half time interval.

After the break Garry O'Connor made it 4-0.

Substitute Kevin Phillips scored his first goal in Blues colours to make the score 5-0.

David Murphy then got himself on the scoresheet with Blues' sixth goal before Phillips made it 7-0 with fifteen minutes of the game remaining.
