Kirovski has won 53 caps for the USA and had spells with Borussia Dortmund and Sporting Lisbon before moving to Selhurst Park when the London club were managed by Blues boss Steve Bruce.
Bruce said: "Jovan has got good pedigree. He has got Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Sporting Lisbon under his belt.
"I know all about him. I knew him when he was a kid at Manchester United and he's won a European Cup with Borussia Dortmund."
Kirovski watched the 2-0 friendly win over Stoke on Saturday but Blues are unlikely to sign the player until after their case has been reviewed.
