Lazaridis Omission Explained

The Aussie international winger wasn't even in the 16 man squad on saturday having returned from a groin injury with a substitutes appearance at Chelsea the previous week.

Bowen explained after the 4th round win against The Dons that Lazaridis had been wary of straining the groin again and that by trying to take the pressure off his one leg during training he had strained the groin in his other leg.

The Blues coach could give no indication as to how long Lazaridis would be sidelined for this time.
