Le Saux admits making contact

Man-of-the-match Dunn made a darting run into the Saints penalty area 20 minutes from the end of the 0-0 draw between the sides on Saturday and was clearly tripped by the former England left-back.

The Blues midfielder was too honest for his good though and by trying to stay on his feet, before eventually going down, watched in amazement as referee Graham Barber waved away appeals for what was a definate spot-kick.

Dunn tried to play down the incident however: “I’m not going to stand here and criticise the referee. I know they have a damn hard job to do,” Dunn told the Evening Mail.

“I gave him [Barber] a bit of stick for it but I understand it’s a difficult job.

“I spoke to Graeme afterwards, I used to clean his boots at Blackburn. He said he touched me but sometimes you get them and sometimes you don’t.”
