Magpies boss Ian McParland has revealed that he has not made any attempts to lure the Blues forward to Meadow Lane.
McSheffrey, who has failed to hold down a regular place in the Blues first team squad this season, has also reportedly attracted interest from Championship sides Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest, with whom he spent a short spell on loan at the end of last season.
