Maik Not To Blame - Savage

Fifteen minutes from the end of the local derby and with Blues leading 2-1, Taylor was unable to hold onto the ball after a fiercely hit free kick from Mark Kennedy and Carl Cort clipped the ball home from close range to equalise for Wolves.

Ironically the free-kick was dubiously awarded against Savage and the Blues midfielder confirmed that the Northern Ireland international keeper was disappointed in the dressing room after the game.

"Maik has probably got us ten points this year with his performances so you can't blame him," Savage told Capital Gold Radio after the game.

"Nine times out of ten he would catch that but we're not blaming him because he has been fantastic for us this year.

"Its just so disappointing, we should be winning games like that at home," he added.
