Alex McLeish has revealed that Red Bull Salzburg striker Marc Janko is the kind of player he is seeking to bring to St Andrews in January.
The Blues boss has been promised funds of up to £40million to spend in the January transfer window and has eyelighted the Austrian striker as the type of player he is seeking to sign, the 6ft 5in tall forward he describes as being similar in style to Tottenham and England striker Peter Crouch. "He's maybe not yet the same kind of level as Peter Crouch, he's trying to be that kind of player. "These players like him are out there, but can we get them to come to the club? That's the question."
"Janko is on a real hot goalscoring streak," the Blues manager has told the Birmingham Mail.
"He has a big presence.
