McSheffrey, who joined Blues for £4million from The Sky Blues last season, has failed to make an impact under new boss Alex McLeish and reports suggest that he could be set for a surprise return to The Ricoh Arena before the transfer window closes on Thursday night.

However, Coventry boss Iain Dowie has described the rumours as 'just a whisper'.
