The 24-year-old midfielder has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Blues after successfully completing a medical on Monday and becomes manager Alex McLeish's first signing in the present transfer window which opened at the beginning of January.
Blues have paid Sporting Gijon £3million for Michel's services.
