Blues boss Alex McLeish has confirmed that a fee has been agreed between the two club's for the 24-year-old midfielder and that personal terms have also been agreed.
Michel, who was a spectator at Blues' home match against Manchester United on Saturday night, will now undergo a medical before completing his move to St Andrews.
"It's looking good in terms of signing Michel," McLeish told the Birmingham Mail.
Everything has been agreed, personal terms and a fee, subject to him passing a medical.
"All being well, he should become our player on Monday or Tuesday which I will be pleased about as I've been tracking him for over a year.
"He will add some more quality to our squad."
