Morrison: Goal Was For Fans

Certain sections of the Blues faithful have questioned Morrisons ability to cut-it in the Premiership following his £4.25million signing from Palace in the summer of 2002 but he was pleased with the fans support of him in last weekends fixture.

Morrison made his first Premiership start of the season in Saturday's 2-0 win and duly obliged by scoring his first goal of the campaign against the Foxes.

“What was great was the attitude of the fans. They didn’t boo me or anything like that, I got the feeling they wanted me to do well," the Republic of Ireland international told the Birmingham Evening Mail.

“That goal against Leicester was for them and I can’t tell you how important it was for me.

“It was great to score and more importantly it was a big win for the team."
