Morrison injury not serious

Blues' record signing was carried-off, in only his second appearance for the club, just eight minutes after coming on as substitute at The Britannia Stadium.

Morrison went down as he stretched for the ball, and it was thought Morrison could have suffered a hamstring injury.

But Bruce told the club's official website: "We had him taken off as a precaution because we feared he could have damaged his hamstring.

"Fortunately, that does not look to be the case and it was just a dead leg. He should be fit to return to training on Monday or Tuesday.

"It was very worrying to see a centre-forward that you have spent so much money on being carried off. I am very relieved it is not a serious injury."
