Morrison wants to sign
Andrew Johnson is keen to quit St Andrew's to secure regular first-team football while Morrison is keen to join Blues and link up again with former Palace boss Steve Bruce.

It is understood that Blues have agreed a £3 million fee with Palace for the Irish international, with a further £500,000 to be paid if they avoid relegation next season, but AJ is looking for The Eagles to increase their offer of a £3,000-a-week wage before committing himself to the South London club.

Blues rate Johnson at around £750,000, putting the total cost for Morrison at just over £4 million.

Manager Steve Bruce seems to have decided against signing Panathinaikos' Polish international Emmanuel Olisadebe after three days of talks with the player last week.

A £3.3 million fee had been agreed with the Greek side for the striker but personal negotiations broke down.

And so, Bruce quickly switched his attentions back to Morrison as it became clear that Palace were willing to do business again.
