The Tunisian international midfielder has been sidelined since picking up a hamstring injury in the 2-1 away win against Southampton on 16th August but is set to return to training on Monday. "I expect them to be ready," Blues boss Alex McLeish told the Birmingham Mail.
Cameron Jerome, who has been sidelined with a thigh strain, could also return to the squad for the match against the newly promoted side at St Andrews on Saturday, 13th September.
