Chief executive Peter Pannu has confirmed that Blues had made an offer for the French winger but that Wigan's valuation of the player far exceeds what Blues are prepared to pay.
"We have had an offer rejected for the player and our valuations are different," Pannu has told the Express and Star.
"We don't think it's right to go any higher at this stage so therefore we withdraw."
