Manager Alex McLeish has confirmed that the Blues striker will not require surgery on the groin injury he sustained prior to the match at Loftus Road on 28th October. "We don't think he'll be out as long.
"Garry O'Connor went out with a groin injury that we thought might be quite serious but there's better news ahead for him," McLeish told BBC Radio WM.
"He doesn't need an operation.
