The young Blues defender, who had scored on his U19's debut for the Irish in their 3-2 defeat to Portugal on Thursday, was again chosen in the starting eleven for the third and final fixture of the competition against Norway after an encouraging first game for Sean McCaffrey's side.

Ireland Under 19's rounded off the tour with a well deserved 1-0 victory, Arsenals Patrick Gregg grabbing the all-important goal.

Painter, who once again completed the full ninety minutes, came close to doubling their advantage late on with a close range header.
