Pearce Moves To Terriers

The 20-year-old defender, who recently returned from a loan spell at Championship side Peterborough United, has moved to the Galpharm Stadium on an initial short term contract that will be assessed once the season concludes.

"I've already met the manager [Lee Clark] and I'm very excited to start working with him. He's obviously a young manager with a lot of ambition and he has good, experienced staff alongside him," Pearce told the official Terriers website.

"Now the move is complete, I want to get my Huddersfield career underway as soon as possible.

"I was at Peterborough at the start of the season but I wasn't getting enough games, so I wanted to go back to Birmingham and go somewhere else on loan.

"When I came back quite a few clubs were interested in bringing me in, but when Huddersfield got in touch we took it from there.

"As things have developed, the move has become permanent.

"As a young player I just want to play games and that's the reason I am moving here.I know that the Club has a great Stadium having played here and I already know a couple of the boys here.

"I have played with and Danny Drinkwater for England before and Theo Robinson went to the same school in Birmingham.

"I spoke to Theo about the move yesterday and he told me what a good club I was coming to."

Pearce, who last season had loan spells at Port Vale and Scunthorpe, is expected to make his Huddersfield debut in their home game against Bristol Rovers tonight (Tuesday).
