Plenty Names In the Hat For Coaching Role

Deehan, who worked under Blues boss Steve Bruce during his short time as manager at Sheffield Utd, is currently working at Northampton under Colin Calderwood whilst McClair is the under 19's coach at Bruce's former club Manchester Utd.

Eric Black, sacked by Coventry one game before the end of last season, is another name being banded about as he still lives in the Midlands area.

Denis Irwin, who hung up his playing boots with Wolves at the end of last season and is another of Bruce's former team mates from his Old Trafford days, is also on the look-out for a coaching role and he too has been mentioned should Bruce choose to appoint more than one new coach to replace Mark Bowen who left the club last week.
