“We’ve been talking to Darryl and we expect him to sign by the end of the week,” manager Steve Bruce told the clubs official website.
“I’ve been impressed with him over the past two or three weeks and he’s got very good experience.
“He should sign a short-term deal which keep him at the club until Christmas.”
