The on-loan from West Ham midfielder was dismissed for a second bookable offence an hour into Blues' 3-2 win at St Andrews on Saturday afternoon.
Quashie will therefore now have to serve an automatic one game suspension and will be forced to sit out the match against Swansea City at The Liberty Stadium on Friday night, 21st November.
The 30-year-old former Scotland international signed on loan from the Hammers for just one month on 21st October and so he may well have played his last game for Blues should the loan deal, which expires next weekend, not be extended.
