The Blues defender was dismissed by referee Rob Styles 12 minutes into the second half of the game at St Andrews for what was adjudged to be a professional foul on City striker Benjani.
Queudrue will face an automatic one game ban for the dismissal and will miss next weekend's game at Wigan but his protests after being shown the red card could lead to further punishment if they are noted in the referee's after-match report.
