Reds Do Blues A Favour

Last updated : 22 April 2004 By Brian Cartlidge

The Addicks, who could have gone into fourth spot with a win at Old Trafford, were beaten 2-0 and remain in seventh place in the table - one point ahead of Blues and now having played the same ammount of games.

With four games now to play the race for the European places couldn't be more wide open. Liverpool currently occupy fourth spot in the table on 50 points but any team right down to Bolton Wanderers in 12th place on 44 points are still in with a shout of European qualification next season.
