A road accident involving two of their youth squad resulted in Man Utd asking the FA Premier League to call off the game.
A statement on the Man United official website read: "The Birmingham City reserve game has been cancelled due to two Manchester United youth players being involved in a serious road traffic accident on Carrington Lane early this afternoon."
