Steve Bruce had pencilled in this Barclaycard Premier Reserve League [North] fixture as the game in which defender Olivier Tebily could make his long-awaited comeback from injury after four months on the sidelines, but the Ivory Coast international is not included in Keith Bertschin's side.

One familiar face in the Blackburn line-up for manager Steve Bruce is his son, who plays at full-back for Rovers.
