According to today's Daily Mirror, new Rovers boss Mark Hughes is preparing a bid for the Blues midfielder come the opening of the window in January.
Hardly surprising this rumour considering that not only is Savage's former international manager Hughes the boss at Rovers but his former Wales' assistant Mark Bowen is second in command at Ewood Park. Bowen spent two seasons working with Savage at St Andrew's before he left the club during the close season.
