Benno is the only fit goalkeeper we have behind Steve Bruce's first choice Maik Taylor.
Nico Vaesen has been sidelined for seven months and has played only one reserve game since recovering from a serious knee injury with Bruce suggesting that the Belgian keeper may be loaned out to regain match fitness after a couple more reserve outings.
With Ireland Under 19 keeper Colin Doyle, yet to play a league game for Blues, currently recovering from a knee operation can we really see Bruce allowing Benno out on loan?
