Sav Available Again

Savage was forced to sit out Blues last game against Southampton having clocked up five bookings for the season but is set to return to Steve Bruce's side for the live television clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

However, Bruce still has injury worries ahead of the trip to face high-flying Chelsea. Jamie Clapham is still struggling with the hamstring injury that has seen him miss the last five games and whilst Stan Lazaridis is back in training following his spell on the sidelines with a groin injury the Blues boss has said he won't be rushing players back so it remains to be seen whether Stan makes the squad on Sunday.

Matty Upson and Christophe Dugarry, with ankle and knee injuries respectively, are long term casualties whilst Aliou Cisse has now joined up with the Senegal squad for the African Nations Cup Finals that begin next weekend in Tunisia.

Mikael Forssell sits out the game having been refused permission to play in either of the Premier League games between the two sides as part of the loan deal Blues have with Chelsea.
