Savage was booked by referee Uriah Rennie for a reckless challenge on City striker Robbie Fowler in the 11th minute of the Blues 2-1 victory at St. Andrews and will now be forced to sit out the home game with Southampton on January 10th.
Matty Upson also picked up his first yellow card of the season in the game against Kevin Keegans side.
