Savage: I absolutely love this club

Savage has admitted to being happier at Blues than he has been at any other club and would love to sign a new long-term contract.

"I'm absolutely convinced the Blues will be in the Premiership next season and I want to stay until the end of my career," Savage said in the Sunday Mercury newspaper.

"Obviously at 28 years of age it's important that I am playing at the highest level and I believe I'll be doing that for a long time with this club.

"I've been at Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson, went on a big learning curve at Crewe and then served under the great Martin O'Neill at Leicester.

"But I can honestly say that I've never been happier than I am now. I absolutely love this club.

"Once we are assured of being in the Premiership next season, I shall be knocking on the chairman's door asking for a contract that takes me to the end of my career."
